In 2012 I wrote, directed and produced my first feature film, 'Room 514', with the support of the Israeli Film Fund. 'Room 514' (90 min), which was filmed in 4 days, was screened at the Cannes Film Festival and won a special award for best directing at the 'Tribeca Film Festival'. The film has participated in more than 40 leading film festivals around the World and  I was invited to lecture (masterclass) in Tokyo, Sarajevo, Warsaw and Rome. 'Room 514' was shown in theaters in Israel and was sold for distribution in the US (Film Movement) and France (Sophie Dulack). 'Room 514' is broadcasted on European and Israeli TV stations. Recently the NYC public library bought 'Room 514' for the library collection.

 

'Room 514' is about a confrontation between a young, beautiful and determined female military investigator and an outstanding commander, accused of overstepping his authority. Room 514 is a realistic and direct film, dealing with the complex Israeli reality, in which the good and the bad are not always easy to differentiate, and in which they rather must coexist. The male actors all served in special units in the Israeli Defense Forces.
